The United Heritage Charity Foundation aims to strengthen its relationships with charitable organizations, ensuring that they align towards a specific core area of focus. Every year, the charity foundation gives to organizations that support communities in the Austin and Tyler area.

In 2022, the United Heritage Charity Foundation will partner with four organizations by amplifying and promoting the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”

The United Heritage Charity Foundation has been working with NAMI Central Texas, a local organization whose mission is to improve the lives of all individuals in its area through advocacy programs. Founded in 1984, the organization addresses mental illness as a health issue and provides systems for all people to achieve recovery. From April to June, both groups have come together to share a cohesive message that is tied to healthcare and serving individuals who are impacted by mental illness, while also working to make a difference in the way others see mental health.

“[NAMI Central Texas] is a great choice for the Charity Foundation to partner with. They certainly have the right programs, education, and support groups to make a difference for those who are in need,” said May Lofgreen, United Heritage Charity Foundation chairperson.

Part of the Charity Foundation’s donation went towards NAMI Central Texas’ Mind Matters exhibition held at The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and NAMI Central Texas’ March Giving Campaign.

The mission of the United Heritage Charity Foundation is to back projects and organizations within its communities. More than $2 million in donations have been distributed, not including in-kind gifts, given to local charities. The charity foundation’s top priority is contributing to deserving organizations that positively impact Central and East Texas to make a difference in others’ lives.
