Police seek source of shots
San Marcos Police are still trying to determine the source of gunshots heard throughout the Victory Gardens neighborhood early Sunday.
In an email response to a Daily Record question sent to City Hall, Commander Kelly Bomersbach said “multiple” people called in around 2:20 a.m. to reports of seven or more gunshots, along with “people yelling and vehicles leaving the scene.”
Officers arrived in the vicinity of Cuauhtemoc Hall at 1100 Patton Street about two minutes after the first call but was unable to locate any disturbance.
“A nearby resident flagged down officers to tell them that his residence was struck by a bullet,” she wrote, “however no holes were located at that residence.”
No injuries were reported and the investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 512-753-2300.
