Annual polar bear plunge takes place New Year’s Day with temperatures in mid 60s

San Marcans started the year with the annual “Polar Bear Plunge” into the San Marcos River on Sunday.
This year’s New Year’s Day splash saw not-so-polar temperatures with highs in the mid 60s.
