AUSTIN (AP) — Southern cities slammed by winter storms that l eft millions without power for days have traded one crisis for another: Busted water pipes ruptured by record-low temperatures created shortages of clean drinking water, shut down the Memphis airport on Friday and left hospitals struggling to maintain sanitary conditions.
Winter can be an aweinspiring time of year. Snow-covered landscapes and opportunities to enjoy sports like skiing and snowboarding make winter a favorite time of year for nature enthusiasts and athletes.
San Marcos Consolidated ISD board trustee, and former San Marcos mayoral candidate, Juan Miguel Arredondo was arrested Thursday for driving while intoxicated.
Texas State University has canceled all in-person and virtual classes through Wednesday.
The City of San Marcos is asking all water customers to conserve throughout the weekend to help stabilize water pressure within the water distribution system.
