San Marcos Rotary sponsors golf tournament
The Rotary Club of San Marcos sponsored its annual Scramble 4 Scholarships on May 12. The club successfully raising more than $10,000 that goes to funding numerous scholarships for San Marcos area seniors.
The golf tournament was held at the Double J Golf Course (formerly Quicksand) in Woodcreek, outside of Wimberley.
Rotary officials said 60 golfers competed in the Scramble. The event was organized by Scott Yarbrough and Crystal Dixon.
According to Rotary officials, the major sponsors included TEK Rescue, Divided Sky Roofing and Solar, Christus Santa Rosa San Marcos, Crystal Dixon Office of Edward Jones, Smarter Benefits Solutions, Sue and Jimmy Cobb and RP Contractors.
