Texas State was unable to overcome a late rally by Texas A&M, as the Aggies defeated the Bobcats 2-1 on a walkoff single in the 8th inning.

Vanderford takes lead for Texas State on, off the field

It was a simple choice for senior third baseman Sara Vanderford about coming back for one more year to play for the Bobcats, due to being granted an extra year of eligibility as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bobcats swept by Cajuns, looking to bounce back

A six-run fifth inning for Louisiana was too much to overcome for Texas State in an 8-3 loss Sunday afternoon from Russo Park. Despite the loss, the Bobcats did clinch a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament following South Alabama’s defeat to Coastal Carolina earlier in the day.
