Another week, another extremely close loss for Jake Spavital and the Texas State Bobcats.
Texas State tipped off the season in style by scoring more then 100 points as the Bobcats defeated the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 104-35.
Texas State suffered a collapse Saturday after building a 21-0 lead against Louisiana-Monroe inside Malone Stadium in Monroe, La. Despite being up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter, Texas State couldn’t fend off Louisiana Monroe as the Warhawks stormed back to win a thrilling 31-30 game.

Though it wasn’t an official game, it still felt like a regular season opener.
