The City of San Marcos has rescinded the citywide boil water notice after water testing confirmed no bacteria contamination present.
The precautionary water boil was called Thursday evening after construction caused damage to a major city water main. The damage resulted in a system pressure drop, causing the boil notice.
Water testing conducted showed that water is safe for consumption without boiling.
