Texas State begins the Jake Spavital era with a home heavy first half of the 2019 season and closes the season with two road games.
The Sun Belt conference released its full 2019 schedule on Friday. The Bobcats begin conference play on Saturday, Sept. 21 when they host Georgia State. Texas State plays one lone weekday game against Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday, Oct. 10 inside Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats finish the league slate with four out of the last six games on the road.
“The Sun Belt Conference is a competitive league with great games each week and this season will be no different,” head coach Jake Spavital said. “We are looking forward to kicking off the season without having to leave the state until late October. This schedule allows us to compete at a high level and push our program forward to hopefully achieve our season goals, which include a postseason game."
