Texas State won their final non-conference game of the regular season, but also lost some of its fire.
The maroon and gold defeated Houston Baptist inside Bobcat Softball Stadium on Wednesday, 4-2. But head coach Ricci Woodard wasn’t overly pleased with her team’s performance.
“I think that's one of the things that we keep talking about, is that going into this Troy matchup, we haven't played the way we want to play,” Woodard said. “And so, I don't know if it's that we haven't played the competition that will bring that fire to us or not. So we're about to find out this weekend.”
