In partnership with State Rep. Erin Zwiener’s Office, Hays Consolidated ISD and the National Guard, the City of Kyle will host a mass vaccination event at Lehman High School.

“The goal of the event is to vaccinate approximately 1,000 residents with the Moderna vaccine,” read a Kyle press release. ‘All attendees will be required to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth.”

Open to all who are 18 years and older, vaccine shots will be administered through a drive-thru procedure with no appointment necessary. The first dose is set for May 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until vaccines run out. Those who attend the first clinic are advised to return for a second dose on Sunday, June 13.

As of May 7, there have been 5,914 confirmed cases, with 154 currently active cases, in Kyle since March 2020, according to the Hays County Local Health Department.
