Jean Ann Foster Davis, 69, of San Marcos, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Jean was born in Denver, Colorado to Vincent and Betty Foster on July 17, 1949. She graduated from Tascosa High School. She married Mike Davis on Nov. 29, 1968 in Amarillo. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics and worked as a Mathematics Professor at Mississippi State and Texas State Universities for 43 years. She retired in 2015 and enjoyed traveling, making trips to England, Scotland, Israel, Mexico and New Zealand. She loved music, playing guitar and piano, singing in her church choirs, and accompanying the junior choir. She was a Girl Scout Troup Leader for many years. She was involved in numerous ministries at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church including serving on the Vestry, the Flower Guild, the School of Wisdom and Sunday School.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister Mary Reinmuth. She is survived by her husband, Mike; children George and Kelly Davis of Lake Forest, California; Julie Davis of New Braunfels, Texas; Heather and Abraham Kaboutari of Houston, Texas; and her cherished grandchildren Patrick and Jack Davis and Emery and Hazel Kabourtari, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
