The head coach didn't mind slow start to the season with a long road slate against some of the toughest teams in the country. And he was proud of the way his team battled through adversity Friday morning in a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22) win over Alabama (5-3) inside Strahan Arena.
