The San Marcos Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees will consider approving architectural services for a central office during its regular meeting Monday.
SMCISD’s administration alongside the board’s subcommittee for central office issued a request for qualifications and accepted qualifications for the possible district administrative office project on Feb. 26. The request for qualifications included two phases: assessment and plans, and a possible second phase to include design and a construction project. The subcommittee independently evaluated and ranked 17 qualifications submissions and took its advisory ranking to the board, On May 17, the board chose Stantec Architecture Inc. as the most highly qualified firm for the project.
SMCISD administrators relocated in late 2017 to a temporary central office location at 631 Mill St. after mold was found in the previous office.
