Early voting began on Monday leading into the Nov. 2 general election.
Hays County voters have eight Texas constitutional amendments to bone-up on, but locally San Marcans have a slew of city propositions, as well as a pair of City Council races left to consider.
In City Council Place 5 incumbent Mark Gleason is challenged by Zach Sambrano. It’s a familiar race as both were on the ballot for Place 5 in 2020 for a special election for the seat. Gleason and Sambrano ran against Omar Baca in a three-way race for the one-year term with Gleason ultimately winning a runoff against Baca.
