Hays CISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to accept a donation of up to $50,000 in grant funding from the Hays CISD Education Foundation on Nov. 15.
Established in 1998, the Hays CISD Education Foundation raises and distributes resources throughout the district to enrich, maintain and expand programs needed to meet educational goals.
The foundation currently serves and supports the students and staff of 24 Hays CISD campuses.
“We have quite a few grant applications,” Executive Director of the Hays CISD Education Foundation Angie Mendez said. “We are currently reviewing the grants but should be rewarding them soon.”
Grant checks will be disrupted to teacher recipients starting Dec. 10.
