About The Temptations

Named one of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” by Rolling Stone Magazine, The Temptations are one of the most significant R&B vocal groups of all time. With a career spanning six decades, the group’s contribution to American culture and the global music landscape is monumental. Their songs have been covered by scores of luminary musicians from Otis Redding and Luther Vandross, to The Rolling Stones and Hall & Oates. They’ve received four Grammy Awards in addition to a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2013. In 2018, the Library of Congress announced the induction of their classic mega-hit, “My Girl” into the National Recording Registry. The story of the band served as inspiration for the jukebox musical “Ain’t Too Proud,” which opened on Broadway in March 2019. Dr. Otis Williams, the sole surviving member of the original, classic line-up is joined on stage by Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Willie Greene, Jr. and Mario Corbino.
