The Hays County Local Health Department recorded two fatalities and 601 COVID-19 cases in its weekly report as the positivity rate rose to over 20%.
The county also reported a 249.3 weekly case rate per 100,000, a 36.92 daily case rate per 100,000 and one weekly new hospitalization per 100,000 in the weekly report, which includes information from June 16-22.
HCLHD reported three hospitalizations over the past seven days in its weekly report. The county considers 601 cases active. The seven-day positivity rate for Wednesday’s report was 20.94%.
