The Hays County Local Health Department recorded 921 COVID-19 cases in its weekly report as the positivity rate rose to nearly 30%.
The county also reported a 382 weekly case rate per 100,000, a 56 daily case rate per 100,000 and six weekly new hospitalizations per 100,000 in the weekly report, which includes information from June 30-July 6.
HCLHD reported 14 hospitalizations over the past seven days in its weekly report. The county considers 921 cases active. There were no fatalities recorded in this week’s weekly report. The seven-day positivity rate this week was 29.55%.
