Katie Smith Deolloz will share her experience at the Spartan Death Race during the Rotary Club of San Marcos’ meeting on Wednesday, July 13,
Deolloz participated in the race in the Green Mountains of Vermont, which has been described as the world’s toughest race. Only 10% of racers have completed the race in the past 10 years. This year all but three were eliminated. The race lasts 70 hours.
“The Spartan Death Race is formidable,” Deolloz said. “I was woefully unqualified to participate, but I showed up anyhow. It changed my life in ways I did not anticipate.”
