Hays County records 4 fatalities, 998 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report

The Hays County Local Health Department recorded four COVID-19 fatalities and 998 new cases in its weekly report as the positivity rate continued at nearly 30%.

The county also reported a 414 weekly case rate per 100,000, a 68 daily case rate per 100,000 and seven weekly new hospitalizations per 100,000 in the weekly report, which includes information from July 7-13.

HCLHD reported 18 hospitalizations over the past seven days in its weekly report. The county considers 998 cases active. The seven-day positivity rate this week was 29.68%.
