The Hays County Local Health Department recorded four COVID-19 fatalities and 609 new cases in its weekly report as the positivity rate fell below 30%.
The county also reported a 252.6 weekly case rate per 100,000, a 34.85 daily case rate per 100,000 and three weekly new hospitalizations per 100,000 in the weekly report, which includes information from Aug. 3-10.
HCLHD reported eight hospitalizations over the past seven days. The county considers 609 cases active. The seven-day positivity rate this week was 27.9%.
