Interstate 35 is shutdown in San Marcos after an 18-wheeler pulled down a telecommunication line.
The San Marcos Police Department said all interstate lanes between McCarty Lane and Wonder World Drive are closed as crews work to remove the hazard from the roadway.
SMPD said it is unclear when I-35 will reopen. Police ask drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route to get through San Marcos.
