Bobcat Stadium will have a multitude of improvements on gameday for the 2022 season, Texas State Athletics announced Aug. 25.
Texas State improved its average attendance to 17,686 in 2021, but is still looking for ways to fill up the stands and keep fans at the stadium for the duration of the game.
One of the returning additions from 2021 is “The Katzengarten,” an on-field hospitality area in front of the end zone complex. The Katzengarten will house food and beverages throughout the year, as well as catered meals for the home opener against Florida International (FIU) on Sept. 10. The Katzengarten will also hold two post-game concerts throughout the season, with Dysfunkshun Junkshun performing on Sept. 10 and The Spazmatics on Nov. 29.
