The Hays County Local Health Department recorded one COVID-19 fatality and 145 new cases in its weekly report as the positivity rate is down to around 8%.
The county also reported a 60.1 weekly case rate per 100,000, an 8.3 daily case rate per 100,000 and one weekly new hospitalizations per 100,000 in the weekly report, which includes information from Sept. 29-Oct. 5.
HCLHD reported two hospitalizations over the past seven days in its weekly report. The county considers 60.1 cases active. The seven-day positivity rate this week was 8.43%.
