Edwards Aquifer Authority moves from Stage 4 down to Stage 3 permit restrictions

The Edwards Aquifer Authority recently downgraded from Stage 4 Critical Period Management permit reductions to Stage 3.

EAA’s Stage 3 reductions impact counties under its purview within the San Antonio Pool effective Wednesday, Oct. 26, including Hays, Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Medina counties.

EAA’s Stage 3 declaration occurred after it was officially confirmed that the 10-day average at Comal Springs was updated to 111 cubic feet per second on Wednesday, which is above the threshold for Stage 4 critical period management.
