Tristan Stivors, former Texas State pitcher and current Chicago White Sox signee, was named the Sun Belt Conference 2021-2022 Male Athlete of the Year.
Playing for the Bobcats baseball team from 2020-2022, it was the 2022 season that put Stivors on the map as he was a key contributor to the team’s success which saw Texas State capture its second ever Sun Belt regular season conference title and first NCAA tournament appearance since 2011.
“I am extremely honored and proud to be the recipient of the Sun Belt Male Athlete of the Year,” Stivors said. “I share this amazing honor with my teammates and coaches. We were on a mission, set goals and reached them together. We wanted people to fall in love with the Bobcats from Texas State!”
