A Cappella Unlimited, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, participated in the 58th Annual Gulf Coast Region 10 Competition in late March and walked away with a first place Division A title and a third place Overall title.
The 24-member women’s chorus achieved a score of 596 out of 700, the highest overall score in the chorus history.
A Cappella Unlimited was chartered in 2011 and competed in the Great Gulf Coast Region for the first time in the Spring of 2012. Since that time, the chorus has placed first in their division six times. A Cappella Unlimited members come from all over the Central Texas area from Georgetown to Boerne, Lakeway and San Marcos to rehearse at Texas State University. They range in age from their 20s to their 70s.
