Hosting a radio show probably comes to mind first when you think of volunteering, and we do have room in our schedule for new broadcasts. But not everyone relishes expressing themselves into a microphone, and there are many other ways to share the many voices of our community.
As a non-profit, 501(c) (3) corporation, KZSM is funded by grants, donations, and underwriting or sponsorship. Local businesses and organizations such as Down to Earth Barbecue Sauce, Tejas Hemp, The Wittliff Collections, and The Hill Country Freethinkers donate to the station in return for promotional announcements during our broadcasts. We need more volunteers to contact businesses about this opportunity, so if you have marketing skills or would like to develop them, let us know!
