Hays County officers arrested a 20-year-old man for a sexual assault that was reported on the Texas State University campus nearly a year ago.
In an affidavit of probable cause for arrest, Texas State University Police Officer Dennis Gibson wrote that King Ngozi Nwaozuru was identified as the suspect in a sexual assault reported on Jan. 20, 2018.
“A survivor with a pseudonym of Jane reported that while under the influence of alcohol a known male took her to his dorm room and removed her clothing,” the affidavit reads. The survivor also reported that the male bit her, even after she asked him to stop, and that he was holding her legs open and would not let her pull away. She tried to pull away again and told him “wait” and “no” repeatedly, the affidavit says, but he penetrated her. Gibson wrote in the affidavit that “Jane” produced a text message from the male in which he apologized and said he knew better.
