Richard De La Cruz, of San Marcos, Texas, was taken by our Heavenly Father at the age of 66, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Galveston Hospital in Galveston, Texas. He is peacefully at rest after his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Richard was born in San Marcos, Texas on November 1, 1953 to Alex and Amelia De La Cruz. He married Sylvia (Gonzales) De La Cruz the year of 1970 and in 1971, his son, John Anthony De La Cruz was born. Richard joined the United States Marines at the age of 22 years old and proudly served his country for four years with an Honorable Discharge. He was a Corporal and received a Rifle Expert Badge and a Good Conduct Metal.
Richard is preceded in death by his Parents; Alex and Amelia De La Cruz, Brothers; Armando De La Cruz, Sister; JoAnne De La Cruz and Diane Romo.
