Growing one's community business network

It can be hard to meet like minded, hard working people your age, particularly when it comes to creating business contacts.

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce have created the perfect networking opportunity for those under 40-yearsold; The Young Professionals meet monthly, at different locations, and provide local business women and men with a happy hour that can lead to connections that benefit them long into the future.

The Young Professionals met at the Price Center this past Thursday, an event which was sponsored by Devon Monsegue, DMJ Real Estate Investments president. The sponsorship provided alcoholic beverages and catering from Local Joe’s Kitchen–the new Southern- style comfort food restaurant located at 205 W. Hopkins St. All who attended commented that the meal was delicious and included chicken strips, mashed potatoes, rolls and brown gravy– also contributing to the newfound camaraderie.
