Distinguished alumni named

The San Marcos Education Foundation announced its Distinguished Alumni Class of 2023 during a ceremony at San Marcos High School on Friday, Oct. 20.

Four Rattler graduates were named to this year’s distinguished alumni class: Stephanie Munoz, Stephanie Reyes, Jon David Perez and city of San Marcos Mayor Jane Hughson.

Munoz was announced as the Class of 2023’s young alumni recipient. She graduated from San Marcos High School in 2007. After serving San Marcos CISD as the Executive Director of Human Resources for several years, Munoz was recently named SMCISD’s Chief of Human Resources.
