SMCISD board of trustees to hold regular meeting Monday

The SMCISD board of trustees will have a handful of items to take action on during Monday’s meeting. 

The board will hear a statement and oath from single-member trustees from district 4 and 5 —Kathy Hansen and Clem Cantu. 

The trustees will discuss approval of an assistant principal at Rodriguez Elementary School and principal at San Marcos High School during closed session and will take action, if necessary, in open session. 

Additionally, the board will consider approval of a land donation agreement from La Cima and an amendment to easement at San Marcos High School with Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Inc. 

The board will also consider and approve to terminate its financial advisory services contract with Estrada, Hinojosa & Company, Inc., while considering and approving to engage with Tijerna, Galvan, Lawrence LCC as the district’s financial advisor and approval of contract. 

There will also be discussion for action for approval several items, including budget amendments, proclamation 2019, updated board operating procedures, bank depository renewal and SHAC members. 

The meeting is set for Monday at 6 p.m. in the criminal justice classroom at San Marcos High School, 2601 Rattler Rd. Regular meeting are livestreamed on YouTube
