SMCISD looks into threat at high school

San Marcos CISD is investigating a terroristic threat made at San Marcos High School.

The school district sent a voice message to all high school parents Tuesday informing them that a terroristic threat written in a bathroom stall at the high school. 

“We are asking you for your assistance in reminding your children about the dangers of making any threat was to harm a person, group, or the school in general,” SMCISD’s message stated. “In this day and age, individuals cannot joke about or send threatening comments without serious consequences coming.

“Every threat, no matter how big or small, is thoroughly investigated to include the San Marcos Police Department when necessary,” the statement continued. 

The persons responsible for the threats will face disciplinary actions, the district said. 

“As always, encourage your children to report anything they believe is inappropriate,” SMCISD said. “It takes all of us working together to help make our campus as safe as possible.
