Lee Ann Womack plays Cheatham Street Warehouse

Lee Ann Womack, one of the most distinctive and decorated vocalists in modern music, is set to perform an acoustic show at Cheatham Street Warehouse tonight.

With six albums and international chart-topping singles to her credit, Womack has earned six Country Music Association Awards (including Single and Album of the Year), five Academy of Country Music Awards, a Grammy, and received two Grammy nominations this year as well as the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award at this year’s ASCAP Country Music Awards.

NPR Music said she “occupies rare terrain in country music," and her latest album "The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone" —  a hybrid of country, soul, gospel and blues — has been hailed as “some of the most immediate and deeply felt vocal performances” of her career. The album also underscores the emergence of Womack’s songwriting voice: She has more writing credits among this album’s 14 tracks than on all her previous albums combined. Folk Americana artist Jamie Lin Wilson will open the show.

An Acoustic Evening with Lee Ann Womack is an 18 and up show. General admission tickets are $30 and tickets for limited floor seating are $50. The show starts at 8 p.m. For more information, go to Cheatham Street Warehouse's website.
