Upcoming pet-friendly festivities

Halloween is right around the corner, which means spooky events are all over town for pets and their owners to enjoy. Participate in activities like Trick-or-Treating, Pet Costume Contests and more in Hays County this month.

Boo! Hole Halloween will occur on Oct. 19 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Held at the enchanting Blue Hole Regional Park, this family-friendly celebration promises a night of thrills and chills. Enjoy costume contests, trickor- treating, haunted trails and more. Don't miss out on the ghoulish fun and create unforgettable memories in the heart of nature. Mark your calendars and prepare for a hauntingly good time at Boo! Hole Halloween!

Puppy Parade will occur on Oct. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get ready for a spook-tactular day at the Puppy Parade in Founders Park in Dripping Springs. Enjoy doggie and food vendors, a dog costume contest and the kids’ Poop-Scoop challenge. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the Puppy Parade will begin around 11:15 a.m. All dog breeds are welcome. Proof of vaccination is required.

Booda Halloween will occur on Oct. 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Get ready for the most fa-boo-lous Halloween party in town. Buda's annual Booda Halloween is back and better than ever, packed with thrills and chills for the whole family. But wait, there's more! Once the sun goes down, grab your blankets and settle in for a special screening of 'Hotel Transylvania' under the stars. It's the perfect way to wrap up a night of Halloween hijinks.

Pet Fest will occur on Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pet Prevent A Litter of Central Texas is hosting its 22nd Annual Pet Fest at San Marcos Plaza Park to promote responsible pet ownership, shelter pet adoptions, local rescue groups and most importantly the continued efforts to have all pets spayed and neutered and zero pets in shelters. Pet Fest is a free, family-friendly festival that’s designed to raise awareness as well as funds to help those in need to care for and fix their pets.

Movie in the Park will occur on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. Bring a friend, a blanket and some candy and come out to our annual Halloween Movie in the Park. Enjoy spine-tingling music and our ghostly family friendly movie, Hocus Pocus (PG) to celebrate the spooky season at Lake Kyle Park, located at 700 Lehman Road.
