Sylvia’s Pizza is proud to celebrate its one-year anniversary with free Churros Soft Soft Serve Ice Cream to the first 30 people who visit the restaurant from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 30. The signature treat is made with organic sugar, whole milk, half and half, and a touch of cinnamon, all served on a cone for the perfect sweet finish to pizza.

The heart and soul of Sylvia’s Pizza are deeply connected to family. The restaurant was named in honor of Greg’s mother, Sylvia, who left a lasting legacy. At her services, doves were released, and one dove remained until everyone had left, a symbol that inspired the bird in the restaurant’s branding. This lingering dove brought comfort to Greg, signifying that Sylvia was still present in spirit.
“We named Sylvia’s Pizza after my mom because she’s still with us in so many ways,” said Greg, co-founder of Sylvia’s Pizza. “That day, seeing the dove stay behind, it felt like she wasn’t ready to leave us yet. Every time I see that bird, I’m reminded that she’s still here, watching over this place and everyone who walks through our doors.”
Additionally, the Nedy Veggie Pizza, a favorite on the menu, pays tribute to Nereida, lovingly known as “Nedy,” the mother of Greg's wife and business partner Maritere. Nereida played an active role in Sylvia’s Pizza from its early days, helping at pop-up events and showcasing her love for veggie pizzas.
