Gary Job Corps is an vocational and academic federal funded training facility for ages 16 to 24 that trains in 19 vocations in 4 pathways — Health Care, Human Services, Manufacturing, and Construction trades. In addition to the vocational training, students can receive a high school diploma or equivalent, meet with career counselors and participate in work-based learning experiences. Companies that continue to participate with the Career Fairs that are held on the Gary Center exposing the students to future employers are Allied Universal, Army, Army National Guard, Balance Staffing, BTF, Caldwell Manufacturing, City of Houston, College of Health Care Professions, CumminCare Health Centers, Elevation HR, First Convenience Bank, Golden Age Home, Goodwill Services-San Antonio Branch, Halcyon Home, In Charge Electric, Ingalls Shipbuilding, Marines, Navy, NEIEP/ IUEC, FBFCU, Sam’s Club, TDCJ, Teachers Retirement System, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Turner Construction, University Health, US Aviation Academy, Volt, and Workforce Solutions- Rural Capital.
