San Marcos fell 52-7 at home against district opponent New Braunfels Canyon in the Rattlers’ final game of the season on Friday night.
While the loss ended the Rattlers season without a win, San Marcos head coach John Walsh was proud of the way his team played through a turbulent season.
“There were some good things in the first half of the season,” said Walsh. “To end the season like we ended it, I’m really proud how the seniors showed class and character. They could have laid down, some didn’t make it through. So for the ones that did make it through, it’s going to pay off later in life.”
