The Education is Boring initiative, in collaboration with Texas State University’s College of Fine Arts and Communication, is thrilled to present the premiere of Bordertown Mind Liberator, a new short documentary featuring Arvind Singhal, a global leader in Entertainment- Education and social change. The event will take place on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall G01 on the Texas State University campus.
This documentary highlights Singhal’s pioneering work, where storytelling serves as a catalyst for addressing complex social issues and inspiring positive change. Known internationally for his innovative approaches to communication and education, Singhal will be present to lead an interactive discussion following the screening. After the film, Singhal will engage participants in a Culture Circle — a collaborative dialogue inspired by Paulo Freire. This interactive session invites attendees to co-create knowledge by sharing their perspectives on the timely question, “How should the future of education be?” The Culture Circle provides an open, inclusive space for community-driven discussion, where all voices contribute to envisioning education’s potential.
This event marks one in a series hosted by Education is Boring, a Texas State University initiative led by students, faculty and alumni to reimagine traditional education through engaging films, events and interactive discussions that explore contemporary educational challenges.
