Kyle Police Department launches real-time crime center program

The Kyle Police Department has launched a new Real-Time Crime Center to enhance public safety and expedite criminal investigations. Powered by Fusus, this initiative includes a voluntary camera registry, allowing residents and businesses to register their security cameras to assist in crime-solving.

By registering, camera owners can help reduce the need for door-todoor canvassing currently conducted by patrol officers and detectives. This system enables police to quickly identify potential video evidence and contact owners if footage is needed. All registrant information remains confidential and is used solely for criminal investigations.

“Building a partnership between our residents and police is key to public safety,” said Jeff Barnett, chief of police in Kyle. “We encourage all security camera owners to participate.”
