The Hays County Pet Resource, Education and Research Center has released an open call to businesses to participate in the “Happy Howlidays Pet Supply Drive.” The goal of the supply drive is to collect enough donations for the end of year food distribution event, slated for Dec. 28, which provides essential items for families in need.
Hays PRC hosts quarterly distribution events, in partnership with the Central Texas Food Bank, that serve hundreds of people and their pets. By signing up to host a supply drive, businesses can make a significant difference in the lives of local families.
“A lack of affordability for food and supplies can often lead pet owners to make difficult decisions about their pets,” said Lee Ann Shenefiel, Hays County Pet Resource Center Director and Executive Advisor. “These events emphasize the power of community support to prevent pets from ending up in shelters. Every donation makes a big impact, ensuring pets remain in homes.”
