WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND?

The San Marcos Daily Record staff gives recommendations on what to do in our community

SAVE THE MUSIC

According to a post by Tantra, this could be their last weekend with live music due to a city imposed decibel limit on their conditional use permit. The limit is 60 decibels, which they said is “equivalent to a normal conversation.” They are currently gathering people to speak against this at the city council meeting on Nov. 19 or to send an email on their behalf. You can find more information on their facebook and instagram. Now for the music, there will be a $5 show at 7 p.m tonight featuring Tetsuo, Honeybunny and Chief and the Doomsday Device. Go support a favorite local business that has left and returned once before and won’t be stopped! Also, stop by the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment for Thanksgiving Family Fun Day. The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Meadows Center hosts Family Fun Day on select Saturdays at the same time throughout the year and always has nature-themed activities, crafts and other activities. This one is holiday-themed, so Thanksgiving arts and crafts will be made that can decorate your home this holiday season.
