Michael Tessaro with Old Bethlehem will be coming to speak to the next Rotary Club of San Marcos luncheon, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 20, at the Maurice T. Suttles VFW Club, located at 1701 Hunter Road. Guests are invited to attend.
Tessaro has been a resident of San Marcos and Hays County since 1973, when he moved to the area to attend SWT, graduating in 1977. Michael married Patricia Tessaro in 1975 and raised his family in the area. His three sons attended, HCCS, SMHS and SMBA. He recently left his business after 36 years and resides in Wimberley.
Tessaro will be talking about A Night in Old Bethlehem, which he has participated in since its beginning 30 years ago. The event is a big part of the traditional celebration of the birth of Jesus, brought to the community during Sights and Sounds of Christmas. They recently started at 501(c)3 nonprofit to manage and run the event into the future and are looking for community support and volunteers to help secure the event’s future in our community.
