Paula Gomez represented San Marcos FFA at the Area 7 Leadership Development Event contest at Schreiner University, competing in the Senior Spanish Creed Speaking category. This event allows Hispanic and Latino FFA members to recite the organization’s core values and beliefs in Spanish. Paula’s impressive performance earned her second place, securing a spot at the Texas FFA State competition.
In addition to Paula’s success, fellow San Marcos FFA member Tristan Toscano competed in the Job Interview contest, which is not pictured, where he earned 11th place.
Paula’s achievement marks a historic milestone for the San Marcos FFA program, as it will be the first time in over 25 years that the chapter will compete at the Texas FFA Leadership Development Event at Sam Houston State University, set for Dec. 6 and 7.
