Another chapter was added in the Battle of Hays County as San Marcos defeated the Hays Hawks 55-43.
The Rattlers improved their record to 8-7 for the season.
San Marcos found themselves trailing at the end of the first quarter down 12-7 to Hays.
A strong second quarter by the Rattlers pulled San Marcos within one possession, now trailing 2119 in a low scoring affair.
Similar to their win against Cornerstone, the Rattlers used another strong performance in the third quarter to put themselves back in front 3331 going into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Rattlers outscored the Hawks 22-12 to seal the win 55-43.
