“As a global institution, Texas State University is committed to fostering opportunities for international engagement,” said Brandon Hough, TXST Passport Services Office manager. “Opening a Passport Services Office on campus demonstrates our dedication to removing barriers and simplifying the process for our students, faculty and staff to travel abroad, along with providing much-needed services in San Marcos and surrounding areas.”
In addition to simplifying the process, the university is hoping to encourage students’ to travel.
“This service is not only a convenience but also a step toward encouraging more members of our community to explore the world and engage in life-changing experiences,” Hough said.
In his position as manager, Hough is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that applications are correctly submitted. If one is interested in applying for a passport or renewal in mid-January, they can visit the Thornton International House, located at 344 West Woods Street.
