Twelve local students were awarded a scholarship from Central Texas Medical Center because of their academic achievements, community involvement and future career goals at a reception on May 29.
Each of the following high school seniors were chosen by the committee to be awarded a $1,000 scholarship that can be applied to tuition, books and/or living expenses during their first year of college or vocational/trade school.

- Kylie Torres: San Marcos High School
- Ejine Uzor: San Marcos Academy
- Julian Ybarra: San Marcos High School
