MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY
Dunbar Heritage Association hosted the 8th annual MLK Jr. Day Kids Event in partnership with the San Marcos Public Library. The children had the opportunity to learn about Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who led the civil rights movement in a non-violent, peaceful protest to try to get equal rights for African Americans. The MLK Kids Event was a celebration just for children ages 3 to 18, filled with engaging activities, games and arts and crafts aimed at teaching youth about King’s legacy.
